Background

Finnskog Theatre was started in 1993. The basis of the theatre group is to use theatre to tell stories about the people who live and have lived here in the district. In this year’s production there are 25 actors and two musicians participating, all from different parts of Bollnäs municipality. Preparations for this year’s new show began in January. As in previous years, David-Reino Svensson answers for both script and direction.

Last year’s production “The Evening Bus” was a fantastic success with over 1 500 visitors and Finnskog Theatre expects at least as many this year.

You can see the show at Loses Kulturplats which is owned by the Finnskog Theatre Society. Loses Kulturplats is located 20 km south of central Bollnäs, between the villages of Gustavsfors and Flugbo.

During the period 1994-1998 the Theatre Society built a theatre barn which can even be used in the winter months and with space for an audience of 100.

We are very proud of our outdoor theatre, which has a stage and undercover seating for an audience of 250 people.

Local organiser: Finnskog Theatre Loses in cooperation with ABF and Arrangörsföreningen Folkmusikfest. With the support of Bollnäs Municipality and Region Gävleborg.
